Parece una historia sacada de un capítulo de la serie “Black Mirror”, pero lamentablemente es un hecho real que ocurrió en la ciudad de Juliaca, en el sur de Perú. En ese lugar fue detenida una joven madre que intentó vender a su hija recién nacida a través de Facebook.
Se trata de una mujer de 19 años, quien estudiaba en una universidad de la región sur andina de Puno, fronteriza con Bolivia, detalló el portal web Los Andes.
La joven habría dado a luz a su hija este lunes y la ofrecía a la venta por poco más de 900 dólares. Se supone que pensaba destinar la mitad del dinero para pagar una deuda por la atención en una clínica ilegal de Puno.
De acuerdo a la información que se maneja hasta el momento, la joven madre habría actuado en complicidad con la ginecóloga que atendió su parto y habría creado una cuenta de Facebook falsa, con la que accedió a la página de una supuesta red de trata de personas, en la que ofreció a su hija en Juliaca, Argentina y Ecuador.
Tras enterarse de lo sucedido, la Policía Nacional de Perú accedió a la cuenta y un agente se hizo pasar por un interesado en comprar a la bebé, para ubicar a la joven y detenerla. La madre fue arrestada en el local donde dio a luz, mientras que la ginecóloga fue detenida en una casa de la ciudad de Juliaca, donde tenía a la recién nacida.
En su declaración, la mujer dijo que pretendía vender a su hija por no contar con dinero para mantenerla, aunque los agentes señalaron que en las conversaciones que mantenía en Facebook aseguraba que lo hacía porque esta tenía “una pequeña mancha en la cara”.
Las dos mujeres permanecen detenidas en Juliaca y son son investigadas por el delito de trata de personas.
