Un informe del gobierno de España señala que fanáticos del Estado Islámico (ISIS, por sus siglas en inglés) realizaron “amenazas directas” contra lugares de interés turístico donde se espera que millones de británicos viajes para disfrutar el próximo verano europeo.
Las amenazas fueron realizadas a través de las redes sociales, al tiempo que el grupo terrorista también utiliza ese medio para reclutar traductores y combatientes de ese país.
El informe oficial del gobierno español señala que desde el verano pasado ISIS ha incrementado las búsquedas de fanáticos de habla hispana. Incluso en los últimos tiempos ha llevado a cabo cada vez más publicaciones en ese idioma.
Estas advertencias tienen lugar semanas después de que la policía de San Sebastián detuvo en el norte del país a un entrenador de boxeo marroquí, sospechoso de reclutar yihadistas.
En su informe, el Gobierno no especifica algún destino del país en particular, consigna Daily Mail.
“ISIS ha estado publicando en español, lo que significa un aumento en el riesgo de su influencia sobre los radicales que viven en nuestro país”, señala el reporte oficial.
El año pasado ISIS “lanzó una campaña para contratar traductores españoles, lo que sugiere un creciente interés en atraer a luchadores extranjeros de habla hispana”, agrega.
En enero de 2016, el Estado Islámico amenazó directamente a España instando a sus seguidores a recuperar “la tierra de los invasores”.
Otro foco de preocupación es el alto índice de británicos que viajan al país para disfrutar del verano europeo. Los ciudadanos del Reino Unidos, como los de Estados Unidos y Francia, son el principal blanco de los fanáticos yihadistas.
