Las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel (FDI) atacaron este lunes posiciones del grupo terrorista Hamas en la Franja de Gaza, luego de que proyectiles disparados desde el enclave palestino cayeran cerca de la frontera.
Se trata de la segunda vez en dos semanas en que Israel y Hamas intercambian disparos.
“Los reportes iniciales indican que un proyectil lanzado desde Gaza cayó en una zona despoblada”, señaló un comunicado de la FDI. No hubo heridos.
En respuesta “un tanque disparó contra un puesto avanzado de Hamas al norte de Gaza”, agrega el texto.
Fuentes de Hamas, el grupo islamista que gobierna en Gaza desde 2007, señalaron que tampoco hubo heridos a causa del cañoneo.
Tras el fin de una intensa pero breve guerra entre Israel y Hamas en 2014, un frágil cese al fuego se mantiene en la frontera con Gaza. Desde entonces, sin embargo, proyectiles son lanzados ocasionalmente contra Israel, provocando reacciones de la FDI.
En tanto la tensión en la región sigue en alza tras el ataque con camión que a principios de enero de 2017 causó la muerte de 4 soldados del FDI en Jerusalén, el último de una serie de atentados perpetrados por palestinos tras el estancamiento del proceso de paz.
