Un fenómeno de la naturaleza tiene sorprendidos a los habitantes de Argelia. En este país africano, las altas temperaturas son cotidianas debido a su geografía, ya que buena parte del territorio de esta nación está cubierta por las calientes arenas del desierto del Sahara, calificado como el más cálido del planeta.
Pero, a pesar del calor intenso que se registra en la zona, un fenómeno climatológico ha llamado profundamente la atención internacional. Esto se tradujo en una inesperada nevazón en la ciudad argelina de Ain Sefra, dejando atónitos a los habitantes de la zona.
Según comenta el Daily Mail, una caída de nieve de este tipo no se apreciaba en el desierto del Sahara desde hace casi 40 años, cuando el 18 de febrero de 1979 ocurrió un caso similar.
Asombrado, un fotógrafo aficionado local de nombre Karim Bouchetata, logró captar una serie de imágenes de este espectacular fenómeno de la naturaleza, en el que se puede ver el contraste de las anaranjadas arenas desérticas junto a la blanca nieve, la que según sus palabras se demoró un día entero antes de derretirse por completo.
